"Pure" Gasoline Sign, Pulaski VA

Here is a rare sign for Pure gasoline outside a former gas station and country store. (the Gator Mart per the other sign). It now appears to be a private home. The Pure brand of gas still exists, but you don't see it very often.

I found this on the outskirts of Pulaski, Virginia, on one of the 600 or 700 series of secondary Virginia highways.

  1. Love it. Gator Mart and Mountain Dew... that's awesome too!

  2. I work in a restaurant in Georgia that is one in a small chain modeled after a Pure gas station. The original restaurant was an old Pure station, which they renovated and made the restaurant out of 5 years ago. There's still a ton of signs from the old station there. Check out the website: www.puretaqueria.com

  3. Mrs. Bopps country store back in the day..before it was Gator Mart....brings back memories of stopping in there with my dad as a youth....and later when we were old enough to ride bikes around town. .just down the road from Loving Field. http://www.pulaskitown.org/Loving_Field.aspx
